Summary
Violet Sorrengail has lived a safe, peaceful live in her village of Basgiath. She knows the wards around the town are strong, sturdy, immovable. Nothing could break them or penetrate them. She knows that the people in charge—like her mother or Mayor Varrish, to name a few—keep them safe and would never let something endanger their idyllic little life here.
