All while everyone else is planning and figuring out what the federation was up to and how to get back there friends who got kidnapped.

Jaiden pushes up his mask a little further, more careful with how she wipes away the smears of red along his split cheek and under his nose. Really, he hadn’t meant to get this injured. No one does, of course, but usually Roier prides himself on being quick enough to avoid most of the carnage his career path entitles him to.
The only reason today was different was because the fight wasn’t between him and some huge /lizardman/ or greedy politician– It was just some guys. Random people from off the street that had taken him by surprise not because they were smarter or stronger, but because they hadn’t gone for him. They’d gone for Jaiden and Cellbit.

“I couldn’t stop him, he-.” Phil’s voice broke. “Something happened to him- something made him snap, and he went after Tallulah.” Wilbur saw red. Whoever it was hadn’t gone after all the kids- just Tallulah. It was targeted.
“Who?” he asked, his voice now shaking for an entirely different reason. “Who did it, Phil?”
“Quackity. He took her last life.” Phil paused momentarily to reign in his emotions. “She’s gone for good, Wil.”

Remain stubborn. “However, if you refuse to do as you are told and you ignore your duty, then you will never see Bobby again. I also cannot guarantee Roier’s protection, either.”
“Get off of my doorstep.” Jaiden glared at the worker. They only nodded, pushing the sword out of their face before turning on their heel and walking away. Jaiden dropped her weapon, staring the worker down as they left. When they were a good enough distance, she turned around and entered the house.
“Don’t forget, Miss Jaiden. 24 hours, and I collect the paperwork.”
