Who was he to argue with facts? With Torse?
Torse, the metal man with a wind-up heart, who was standing on the deck of his ship. Torse, who was still absolutely caked in gore and viscera from the shoulders down, and Maxwell, whose priorities just shifted so fast he nearly gave himself whiplash.

Sometimes a first date consists of a robot, an autistic man and a sponge bath in the back of an airship.

Maxwell felt…strange.
Not bad, necessarily. As far as he could tell, he wasn’t in any pain. But he didn’t feel particularly good, either.
Mostly he just felt a whole lot of…nothing.
That in itself wasn’t strange. Maxwell would be remiss to call himself an emotional man. He was a passionate one, however, and typically this time after a fight would be spent mentally going over each second of battle, relishing in the spiderwebs of pain that still stretched over his cracked knuckles.
But now? Now he wasn’t even positive that the hands he was looking at belonged to him.
It was all just very…strange.
Or: Maxwell (doesn't) deal with his newfound bloodlust. Van helps.

Summary
Wealwell scowled while he watched Daisuke talking to Van and butchering a painfully basic reposed stance, one Wealwell had learned in his first year at Biffmore. It's like Daisuke wasn't even trying to pretend to be him. He wasn't sure why they couldn't just tell people they'd swapped bodies in the first place; everybody knew that Maxwell and Olethra had switched, and they were already on their way to another potential field of Myconomis magnamensa to see if they could undo the Switcheroo for them. Still, Daisuke insisted that if anybody found out, he would kill Wealwell for real this time, even if he had to sacrifice his own body to do it.
Wealwell thought maybe he was just a little shy.

Summary
"Everybody falls in love with Pappy, but it takes a special kind of person to get him to fall back. Fortunately, he’s never had to look very far. Monty’s always been right there. Unfortunately, these things don’t always have a way of working out.
Well, there’s always better luck next time.”
The two times Monty fell in love with Pappy, and the two times Daisuke loved him right back.
A 2+2+1 fic! -

“You're gone.”
“Then why am I here?”
His fingers itched for a trigger or a bottle. Daisuke wasn't sure which.
“‘cause I'm a damn fool.”(Even though Comfrey's not around, Daisuke can't stop talking to her)

She had warned him this would happen. She had warned him in her wedding vows.
“...and I'll love you from the depths of the ocean all the way up to the sky.”
To the sky, but not above. Because Comfrey MacLeod’s first and truest love was the endless blue that robbed you of breath and warmth of your blood the more it embraced you.
Daisuke knew that when he married her. He thought he was fine with that.
(He wasn't.)

“Look, Marya. You, frankly, look like shit. You need to sleep before you crash the ship on accident, not like the, albeit very cool, maneuver yesterday. And I don’t want that to happen, because I care about you. I don’t want you to burn yourself into the ground just because you love the sky.”
Marya took that in.
“Can you… stay?” she asked weakly.
“Yeah. Yes, I can.”or, 4 times marya junková and van chapman slept in the same bed and one time they talked about it

Summary
He had tried not to be offended when she asked him to look after the kid, not because it was any kind of imposition—he'd killed better people for way less—but because she felt the damn need to ask in the first place. Daisuke looked after his own, and the MacLeods were his, or more accurately he was theirs, hers, had been since she descended like an angel from the heavens, shining silver curls and a knife-sharp grin and warm wrinkles around her eyes, and whisked him away to the skies. She may not have been his wife anymore, but that didn’t really change much; he would love her until the day somebody put a bullet between his eyes.
