“Sorry,” Rogue muttered, pulling at her gloves. “This is a lot more complicated than it looks.”
Wanda Maximoff didn’t say anything, just gritted her teeth as the little tools poked and bit into the skin on her wrist.
“Babykins, maybe –”
“No, Toad.”
Ah, Toad. Yes, it was a suitable situation to blame Toad for. Toad Tolansky (his actual name was Todd, but no one called him such) was the reason Wanda Maximoff had days like these. Days when she sat, not in class with her brother, learning about the Industrial Revolution for the 3rd week in a row, but in the handicap bathroom stall in the women’s restroom, with none other than Toad himself, Fred Dukes, and Rogue of the ‘x-men’ for company.

The strength it took for me to post this. It's a pure example of the popular kind of fics that existed on FFN, especially ones written like a movie script that were parodying (see: just reposting the script of a movie with name changes and more dorky Author-Character interactions) famous films and inserting other characters into it.
I was VERY into X-Men Evolution at the time, and LOVED St. John and Wanda a LOT. Still do, but not as much of a couple (and i'm openly okay with being gay now so lol)
This causes me pain but also big time nostalgia. Backdating it to its original published date of October 8, 2006 so people actually wanting new X-Men Evo fics aren't slammed in the face with this thing.- Language:
