As a result of restoring the original timeline, Yuna D. Kaito dies, and Akiho ends up staying with the Kinomotos. While the society decides what to do about Akiho, they send someone to keep track of her whereabouts. Meanwhile, Sonomi is going out of town for a while on a business trip, and employs an old family friend to babysit.
Or: This started out as “haha what if there were CCS universe versions of Kurogane and Fai” but I also wanted to write about clear card because I know they’re about to redeem Kaito and I’m not on board with it. And then it spiraled into this.
