Summary
(Before Immortal Fire/Raine’s Wall Event)
Mateo has a long running history of letting his co-workers stay with him when life gets rough. Whether it’s because he’s a surprisingly supportive boss, or he appreciates the company.
Whichever it is, crappy apartment qualities mean that it’s Xuan Pin’s turn. A slight problem, however, is Samson.
(Will probably be adding a lotta tags, yikes)

Summary
There's an artists challenge to create an alphabet of characters running at the moment. Since I don't draw, I'm going to attempt to write a series of ficlets instead.
Wish me luck. -

Summary
(Set some time after Immortal Fire)
No matter how strong, tough and hardheaded you are, you’re not immune to falling ill. You’re even more of a danger to your coworkers when you’re a walking fire hazard, so Mateo’s stubbornness can only be tolerated so much.
Thankfully, his
wifegirlfriend in Utgard is well versed in looking after the big lug when he’s in such a state.Without the peering eyes of his co-workers or civilians, Mateo is… Particularly clingy, and Xuan Pin is very patient.

Summary
(Some years after Immortal Fire)
‘The Morning After’ doesn’t need to be the end, so say those words of affection in the sun’s first rays and carry no regrets with the one you love.
The memories are few and spotty thanks to too much alcohol the night prior, but Xuan Pin knows for sure who she spent the night with.
“I love you. Do I need to prove it to you again?”
An encore in the morning sounded very appealing.

Summary
(After Immortal Fire)
Two of the newer employees are hoping to get their boss away from work and live life a little- While they mean well, it’s not polite to just spring a blind date on someone. Especially The Commander, who’s already married.
Unfortunately, they call Xuan Pin’s bluff. … Which isn’t a bluff. Fine. It’s a rare excuse to show off her cats’ dad.

Summary
(Before Immortal Fire)
Friday Night Drinks are practically a weekly tradition at Raine’s Wall, and attendance is highly encouraged. While usually not particularly eventful, there are occasions where the Commander doesn’t keep ‘drink responsibly’ in mind.
None of the guards are patient enough or qualified enough to carry him home. Especially when he’s specifically asking for his wife.
Xuan Pin would like to reiterate , she is not his wife; this man is a bachelor. But as long as there‘s alcohol in his system, Mateo will argue that ‘fact’. ‘The Commander’s Wife’ is the only person with enough aforementioned patience to deal with him…
The guardsmen aren’t much help. Welcome to Raine’s Wall, newbie.

Summary
(After the Raine’s Wall incident.)
Utgard is a very cold place in general, and the heating in Xuan Pin’s apartment decided to just give out.
Might be a good idea to contact that literally hot guy you know until it’s fixed.

Summary
“You, uh. You never looked into her Deity, sir?”
Xuan Pin would have preferred that the commander never looked into it, honestly.

Summary
(Not exactly in the canon timeline of everything else in this collection lol. Just fluff for fluff’s sake)
The sleep deprived deputy and touch-starved commander compromise and cuddle during paid work hours.
Basically- two dorks snuggling because the author had an exhausting work week.

Summary
(Before Immortal Fire/Raine’s Wall Event)
“If I had a buck for every time Xuan Pin yeeted someone out of this building… I’d have $5- which ain’t much, but it’s surprising that it happens so often.” -Jason, one of Raine Wall’s Guards.
Sometimes, violence actually is the answer.

Summary
(Before Immortal Fire/Raine’s Wall Event)
Every month, Xuan Pin takes the same day off. Despite having worked together for years, Mateo had never thought to ask where she was spending her time.
“I make the time. It’s not much, but we can manage it. The kids need it. Stability, even for just a day… It goes a long way.”
