Besides, Clark doesn't even seem to mind, given he's more focused on glaring at Bruce from across the table, “I didn’t say you were. I simply made some observations.”

“I’m sorry,” Bruce says after a pregnant perturbed pause. “I think I misheard you say that Superman, as in the flying, bulletproof, solar-powered alien savior of mankind, got evicted from his apartment.”
“They don’t know I’m Superman!” Clark protests immediately, dropping his hands. “That’s the whole— No, that’s not the point.”

Summary

When survival is on the line, Strings of Fate be damned, Stephen and Alex have better things to worry about. A meeting with a childhood friend offers the chance of a lifetime to make it big and set themselves up for life with contacts in the capitol. Stephen and Alex suit up for an expedition to the Nether. Little did Stephen know that destiny was bound to catch up to him, one way or another.
Destiny just so happens to be a web of red strings and by an anti-social, white-eyed bastard.
