This is going to be a fix-it fic of sorts, though I'm not sure where exactly this will go. I haven't really written anything in about 5 years, so any feedback at all is appreciated.Updates will probably be inconsistent, but I intend to update somewhat frequently, and don't plan on giving up on this. I hope you all enjoy!
This is also the first thing I've posted on ao3, I'm not exactly sure how this side of the site works, so apologies if anything is off.

Summary
Harry never lost Tom Riddle's diary in his second year. He keeps writing to Tom, seeing the teen as his older brother whom he can trust and look up to. After learning that Harry is a fellow Horcrux, Tom Riddle quickly embraces the role of Older Brother and does everything he can to gain influence over Harry and power to get his body back. During the summer, an unlikely friendship between Harry and Draco sparks off as Harry delves into a world of Dark Magic and Arts all to help his beloved Older Brother. All the while Harry learns who his true friends really are, and who he really is.

Much to Harry’s surprise, Malfoy started laughing. It wasn’t a joyful laugh. It was the kind of evil, smug laugh he always imagined Malfoy having. “Oh, Potter. This is too much. Did you finally see it? After all these years? Did you finally have an off-script thought?”
“What do you know about it?” Harry asked, shrugging off Malfoy’s hand.
Malfoy’s shoulders were still shaking with condescending mirth. “You really have no idea, do you?” he asked.
Harry repeated himself, “What. Is. It.” It wasn’t a question; it was a command.
“It’s the ‘rator.” Malfoy finally replied, still catching his breath.

In short: Malfoy holds all the cards. If Harry wants to find out about the ‘rator, and keep his dream of being an auror, he’s going to have to spend a lot more time with him.

“So what you’re telling me is that wizards have the capability of having children. Am I understanding that correctly?” Harry asked as calmly as he could, pushing his soup away.
“Yes.” Draco nodded.
“And the Black family magic called me a carrier.” Harry added.
“Yes.” Draco nodded, still frowning but looking up at Harry finally.
“And you and I have been fucking around for weeks without any sort of protective spells or anything?” Harry asked, practically hysterical now. Draco’s eyes widened as he finally figured out why Harry was panicking.
“Oh, shit.” Draco said, summoning a bucket quickly as Harry puked into it since he worked himself into a panic attack. So much for eating anything.

Summary
There was no need to tell the Dark Lord, or anyone for that matter, about his motivation behind this, apart from survival instinct. There was no need to think about them in the first place, so he shoved them all away. If he wanted to pull this off, he needed to be exactly as ruthless and cunning and despicable as people thought him to be.
Maybe, one day, in a far away, unattainable future, he would be allowed to explain himself.
