Summary
Hot rocks stand beneath a boiling pool of water. The moment he steps into the small, dark room, he is met with humidity that immediately calms him. Another robe is hung on the wall. It’s much more appropriate for slipping into bed. Garak slips his clothes off of his body and lets out another sigh at the feeling of the warm and thick air against his scales. Usually, Garak would lay upon the rocks that surrounded the water, warmed by the coals beneath. But today, he decides to slip in, arms reaching into the water before he is submerged. His eyes, nose, and the tip of his tail were the only things that appear above the water. The water is just deep enough for him to float, claws only gently scraping at the bottom of the pool. His eyes close. Here, he can forget everything about Deep Space Nine. Inside his sauna, Garak was never exiled. He never left Cardassia, and Cardassia never left him. Everything had always been the way it was and the way it should be. Cardassians were always kind, open, and fine people. The peace in this room was so heavy it was almost nauseating.

Summary
Sighing, Julian rests himself back down halfway. He lays on his forearms and stares at the wall, kicking his legs out a bit. “Smiling as I gave out those vaccines for the blight… I’ll never be able to feel that much pride again.” Then, once more, he shot up, angrily, “And that’s the worst part, Garak—hundreds of people had just died under my care!”
“And an entire population was saved after,” Garak buts in with his volume raised just enough to match the other.
“That doesn’t take away the moment!” That was the only way Julian could describe the pain. He knew the lives of a hundred people outweighed the life of an entire population, but this wasn’t the same. He had felt as though he had to prove something. That unforgettable pride is what killed those people faster than their disease. Slowly, Julian lowered himself a little more, deflated. “That doesn’t take away the moment.”

Summary
They bring him in. There are two guards, both at each side of him, and Miles believes he sees a third guard behind them, surmising it’s for extra measures since von Karma is squirming so much.
He’s snarling and screaming at the policemen, seething that he wanted to see no one, hissing that this was disrespect, but Miles had yet to flinch. He’d seen it all before. Only this time, Manfred is powerless. Miles folds his hands in his lap and waits.
Eventually, he pushed the guards away and they abscond, leaving the third man to guard the door in the back. Manfred even turned and gave him a dirty look, but he couldn’t make threats anymore. He turned to Miles. He could not make threats anymore. Their eyes meet.
Manfred von Karma’s nostrils flare, and he barks out some sinister laugh Miles knows all too well when he asks, “Have you come here to mock me?”
“No,” Miles says plainly, face unchanging, “I’ve come to simply ask you a few last questions.”

Summary
“You do not have to thank the Gods as I do,” Bloodhound looks up at him from where they're sitting, “your actions speak of your gratitude enough."
“This is your turf.” Walter says matter of factly. He looks at Bloodhound. “This is where your people are, where ya’ said ya’ Gods’ have their eyes on most.” The berries had begun to pop, and Walter was beginning to prepare the fish to be the next to roast. He didn't look up as he spoke. “And ‘sides, it’s nice t’ have someone t’ thank. There’s nothin’ holy on Salvo.”

Summary
Apollo’s eye was open then, halfway, taking around the details of the room. His bandages still covered his right eye, so everything was still hard to really see, and, quite honestly, it was disorienting. But the more details he took in, the more aware of his surroundings he was, and that was something Apollo needed; constant awareness. Scenery: check. Now, sounds…
Humming of hospital equipment. It took him a moment of glancing from side to side, carefully, slowly turning his head to see each machine and match the sound to what it does. He had an I.V. He was sure he had it when everyone visited him, but he must’ve forgotten. He’d shrug if possible. There was something else though. At first, it sounded like general background noise, like a T.V playing in a room over from him. As if he could hear that it was on, but not what was playing. Apollo closed his eye and tried to listen.
A man and a woman were talking.

Summary
He was well-aware that Ajay was being beyond selfless. She had set the whole thing up, and given everyone a plan, but he knew how this made her feel. How she was probably going to steel up in anger and stress, all for a M.R.V.N to make Pathfinder happy. And what was he going to do, let her have to face those jackass demons alone? They’d been here before. They didn’t let each other go to things like this alone, ever since they were kids, they’d sneak out if they had to.
“You can’t jump into a tank full of tiburones y serpientes without someone to pull you out.”
Sharks and snakes. Man, sometimes he could describe things way too accurately. He scoffed. And she thinks I’m bad at telling stories…

Summary
Prompto is in his bathroom. He’s on the floor in front of the sink, with his left hand gripping his right arm. He’s holding his forearm right below his elbow, and he’s holding it so tight white pricks and stars of circulation-loss. Prompto is trying to make his arm fall asleep. He wants it to just fall off.
Prompto doesn’t have the flu. He isn’t sick like he told Noctis. He’s just sick of himself.

Summary
More pens, hair ties, a smaller notepad that he remembers he uses for his shopping list, and other miscellaneous items scatter onto the ground with a cheap and hollow echo. Now Jon looks at Tim.
“Okay,” Tim says, “what the fuck, and why?”
Jon simply picks up his torch and shines it on his items. “Look,” he tells him, and to his surprise Tim takes a step forward and does. “Not a single tape recorder.”

Summary
Nott’s eyebrows furrowed. She looked down at her flask as if trying to phone a friend for advice on a brain tickler. When Mollymauk was about to explain himself, a smile already drew open to talk, then her head shot up, and in a yelling whisper Nott asked, ”You like fantasy Danny DeVito too?!”
“No, no-” Mollymauk answered, unfazed if not a little bit surprised. “well, yes, of course, but not who I’m talking about. Try again.”
His eyes flicked up and he looked like he was silently scanning for a target. Nott watched detailed-less eyes very subtly shift from tavern patron to tavern patron. After a bit, she had convinced herself she could see a pupil in his bloody sea of eyes.
“Here’s a hint;” he said after only a nibble of a second. he nodded over towards someone behind Nott. “we share a boy.”

Summary
It’s the kind of feeling one would get when they first start a puzzle, pieces dumped out everywhere in a disorganized mess, only uphill to go from there, except for one thing; there’s no picture to go off of. Hardly even a vague idea, just pieces in disarray and the calling to sort them and put them in their place, wherever that may be. That being said he isn’t completely unfamiliar with this feeling. He’s had it before, mostly when he was growing up, mostly when he was fitting into suits or couldn’t find the right thing to do with his hair (that’s something that, for certain, hasn’t changed), but he never found the picture he was going for.
This feeling made Ignis, who prides himself on being very good at organizing and solving problems very, and with absolutely no pun intended, puzzled.
Peculiar, he thinks that morning, Very peculiar indeed.

Summary
Taako Taaco is many things. A kickass wizard, a kickass chef, a kickass dude, he could go on if you asked him at the right time. Taako is a lot.
The one thing Taako isn't? A touchy-feely guy.
Back then it, made the others think Taako had a thing about germs, but no, touching just wasn't the Taako Way. After that fateful hug-dodge incident, everyone would soon find out that, along with being many things, Taako had many personal rules. "Look but don't touch" was at the very top.
Until shit started getting super wack.

Summary
He turned to look at Reigen—he knew this because he could feel it, not because he could see it. Reigen’s mouth was open in reply, but his eyes were doing far more work trying to map out Katsuya’s face with little to no light at all.
That was the final straw.
“I’m changing the lightbulbs tomorrow,” Reigen intelligently replied instead of anything that would’ve been, in fact, actually intelligent.
