Summary
Ace didn’t consider himself a submissive guy. And that was true, for most of the time. He hardly obeyed anyone, never let himself get stepped on by others. He matched his element with his behaviour, fire couldn’t be contained after all. It simply burned through everything that got in it’s path.
Which is why he was confounded about the situation he found himself in.

Summary
‘Who’s dead?’ A tinny voice sounded through the phone speaker, ‘it’s five in the fucking morning so someone better be dead.’
‘Jason,’ Dick glared at Tim as if daring him to speak. The younger boy shrunk into himself instinctively.
'Why don’t you tell your hungover little brother about the dangers of hard drugs?’
The other side of the call fell silent and then-
‘Ten minutes.’
The line went dead.
Or: Tim throws a party. Dick's not impressed. Jason just wishes that he wasn't the only person in this family with a functioning brain cell (all drug use is by side characters only).

Summary
He’s twelve again, pressed against the glass. But it’s not strangers he's watching this time. It’s people he used to belong with. Through the frosted windows, it's the life he lost, the life he missed, the life he wants back, no matter how sick the thought makes him. He wants to smash the glass, knock on the door, and maybe, somehow, be let in.
Jason doesn't know if there's a way back in.
Prompt : “I look into people’s windows, transfixed by rose golden glows.” (Whumptober Day 3: Isolation / Candlelight / Found Family)

Summary
“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary
Slade Wilson isn't expecting much out of this winter. They escaped law enforcement by the skin of their teeth, heading to their hideout in the mountains before the pass iced over. When the spring thaw comes they'll be out of there before the Bat pack of Bounty Hunters can make their way through. Three months of boredom until their next heist, hunting nothing more exciting than some game for the stewpot.
Jason Todd has made the kind of mistake you don't get to make twice. He's lost his horse and any chance of actually taking in the outlaws with the rest of his pack trapped on the wrong side of the mountain. His only hope is they make his death a quick one. Slade offers the closest thing to a way out; he pretends to be Slade's Omega for the winter and they won't kill him.
