Summary
This is a series inspired by HolyBlue2's work called "100 Ways to Say "I Love You" (a series of Destiel fics that I absolute adored) I couldn't help but think of Johnlock as I read some of the chapter titles. This is basically a series of different ways that John and Sherlock show that they love each other (sometimes without even meaning to) I'll try to update as soon as possible, but I don't really have a fixed schedule for it or number of chapters. Summary
John knew Sherlock's silences. He knew when Sherlock genuinely didn't have anything to say, and when he was pouting quietly. He knew when Sherlock was thinking and not even noticing that time was passing, much less that the flat was quiet. John could deal with these silences, he'd grown accustomed to them and he actually found them comfortable. That was, until one day he discovered another form of silent treatment that didn't make him feel safe, or comfortable at all. No, this silence wasn't a good one, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Seventeen year old Sherlock Holmes didn't think his summer job could be anything, but boring. He just sat in the boiling sun and announced what to do, and what not to do over and over again to all the riders on one of the rollercoasters at Thorpe Amusement Park, even though most of the instructions were pretty obvious. At least, that was the case, until one rainy Tuesday in the middle of July when a short boy with poofy blonde hair and a warm laugh rode into his life on a coaster of flirtation and smiles.

Unfortunately, Robin was planning some big date night with Heather... and there was no way she was going to let Steve ruin it by hanging around the apartment all night. Which was messed up because like... it was his apartment too.
But she threatened him, and he caved and... she'd printed him out all these fliers for some blind-date... losers event. Thing. And hell, why not? Maybe it would be kind of nice to spend Valentine's day with someone who was just as alone as he was...

“You remember that queer bed and breakfast we had looked at?” Steve said, barely able to contain the excitement in his voice. Both of Billy’s eyebrows were up to his hairline, mouth open in a small ‘o’.
“You-- That’s too fancy--” Billy began, his words warring with the excitement in his body and face.
“I know it’s a lot for our, like, first kinda birthday thing maybe but--” Steve took a breath, letting the words work themselves out before trying to speak. “We missed a lot of time,” he said softly. Billy’s face changed minutely and he stepped forward, hand resting on Steve’s hip. “I just wanted to make up for it, I guess.” Billy smiled, his other hand cupping Steve’s cheek.
