Summary
Thoughts swirl around John like he swirls his wine in its cup, airing it out. With time and atmosphere, the wine will change and so will the thoughts. Nothing makes it past him unscathed. Even Sam will eventually be hurt or transformed by his actions. By the secrets.
John slowly loses control over burnt letters and subterfuge, foreign wine, ink stains and ash and Sam’s hand, resting on the table, close enough to touch again.
