Summary
Ten more minutes passed before Shiki finally FaceTimed him. Caelen answered before the second ring had even finished, worry written plainly across his face.
"Hey, love, are you okay? You haven't arrived ye-"
He stopped mid-sentence. On the screen was a very tired-looking Shiki, nose red, cheeks puffed, still tucked into bed.
"No, dear," Shiki said, voice rough and hoarse. "Unfortunately, I can't make it to our date today."
"Are you sick, Shiki?" Caelen asked, already fairly certain of the answer. His tail slowed from its anxious swaying, settling into something heavier, more concerned.OR
Shiki is too sick to go to his date with Caelen, So Caelen goes to his house to take care of him.

"Hey, Shiki!" Caelen called as he approached, his voice bright with the kind of excitement. His tail gave a quick, eager wag behind him, betraying just how pleased he was with himself.
Shiki's eyes opened slowly, unhurried, and a small smile already tugged at the corner of his mouth before he even sat up. "Yes, love?"
"I picked these for you." Caelen held the bouquet out, a little proud, a little shy. "They reminded me of you."
