It was far past midnight when he heard the noise. A crash coming from down the hall. He’d tried to read who it was using his six eyes, but their energy was so erratic and unstable he genuinely couldn’t tell who it could be. He supposed it must have been coming from someone’s late night training session that had left them more than drained, but the further he followed it, the more concerned he became.
It wasn’t coming from the training room at all.
It was coming from Megumi’s room.
“Megumi?”
“I’m fine.”
He was not fine. Not in the slightest. Not with that sickly pallor, those sunken eyes, that shaking frame, that messy room. Something was wrong. Very very wrong.

He couldn’t tell Yuuji or Nobara, the thought sent an unpleasant shiver down his spine. Calling Ijichi would come with questions about the bloodied seat, and going into a public place to buy a change of clothes was absolutely out of the question.
Which left him only one option.
