Summary
A kidnapping is nothing new for the vigilantes of Gotham and Bludhaven. It's not even the fifth time it's happened. But as the two oldest brothers are ripped away from the family, it becomes abundantly clear they aren't deal with their usual rogues. Something much more nefarious has found a home in Gotham and does not pull its punches against the vigilantes.
Or
Dick and Jason are both kidnapped and the rest of the family struggles to find them. Resulting torture/medical experimentation and rescue. Hurt with comfort (eventually).

The man sitting in the interrogation room was familiar. Achingly so.
For what reason none of the founding members of the Justice League could tell.For four years, he had been a name, text in a file- how he fought, how he killed- a handful of blurry images on security tapes, a shadow in the corner of every mission gone wrong, his associates that came and went. A cold trail.
A ghost- nothing more.

Wilbur’s breathing hitched as he looked into the pale eyes of the dead boy. Unlike before, his lips were no longer blue, and there was no more seaweed stuck in his blonde curls. He was sitting up now, the waves soaking the bottom of his pants as he sat on the sand across from Wilbur.
“You-”
“I’m not dead, Wil,” the boy said, the words tumbling out of him in a rush. “I’m not dead, don’t fucking listen to them when they say I’m dead because I’m not. You know I’m not!”
“I-I saw your body,” Wilbur stammered, unsure of how the dead boy knew his name.
“It’s not me! I don’t know what the fuck that thing was, but I’m not dead! You can feel it, can’t you?” The boy pleaded, his voice cracking as he started crawling on the sand towards Wilbur. “You have to save me, Wil. Please, you need to get me out of here!”
