“I should say– I wanted to say– well. I will say–” Graham starts, trying to arrange the maelstrom of feeling in his head into something simple. His entire body is overwhelmed by the need to say sorry.
He glances up at Damon again, whose eyes are searching him more eagerly than he'd expected. The sight of him is so arresting he gives up. “I dunno.”
(Graham has a shitty night drinking. Damon picks up the pieces and drags him to the studio the next day. They kiss and make up.)

He can’t toss himself right now. He’s pissed. He’s tired. He’s been given the wrong room. He’s running on three hours of sleep. And a crick in his neck from nodding off in the car. Despite the growing list of grievances that demand more of his attention, he’s still so angry with Graham it makes him see white. The kind of angry that stems from a broken heart at the center.
If he’s so mad, why’s he so hard?
Sometimes Damon scares himself.

Summary
They've been at college for an entire semester, and Shauna is really fucking sick of the Jackie-Jeff rollercoaster. So, when Jeff dumps Jackie right before winter break, Shauna decides she's willing to do pretty much anything to keep them broken up. Jackie just wants to feel wanted, so what harm can a few messages from a new account really do?
Meanwhile, Jackie is trying to figure out how to keep her biggest secret under wraps, now that Jeff has royally fucked her over and totally blown her cover. She'd just wanted one year out of the house, before having to worry about what not having a boyfriend meant for her.
