A spy. Of course. Simon flipped past the pictures and there was her mostly blacked out file. Her years of service in ASIS clearly written out. Eight years total, but six as her current cover as the Merchant's mistress.
The Merchant was so elusive as to not even have a real name on file, just a long list of fake ones. Simon closed the file and carefully laid it on the plastic folding table in front of him. God, they'd been after the Merchant for years and this Nancy Augusta was fucking him on the regular for the past six. What kind of person can just sit by while countless bodies piled up. He was a arms dealer, and he should have caught a bullet ages ago.

Hermione leaned into his shoulder, head stubbornly remaining level despite the way he was tugging gently at her curls. She could feel his attentive silver eyes watching her face, and had to consciously keep herself from turning to stare back. Malfoy had never explicitly come out and said it, but based on his own actions he was more than content as coming off as absolutely ravenous for her affection.
Harry rolled his eyes and cleared his throat, "As your boss, I feel obligated to ask that you try to mingle. As your friend, I feel required to ask you to keep your clothes on."
Immediately, Hermione looked away from both of them in embarrassment.

“Just because I’m not pictured in the paper looking distinctly uncomfortable in the presence of someone I’m supposed to be in love with,” a much too specific example, “doesn’t mean I’ve never been in love.”
All Harry could do was stand back and watch as his two best friends and best Aurors had it out.

Eighteen months had passed and still Cassian was missing. Feyre had promised they'd find him before Starfall, promised he'd be fine. The others had promised so much to Nesta that she wondered why she'd even bothered to believe that this would be the one that would be true.
It didn't really matter now, nothing did. She spent Starfall with the others. Not out of any need to enjoy herself one last time, but instead to stay close in case word came. It hadn't. At least that's what she told herself, she wanted to be close for Cassian not for them. In her heart, Nesta knew she wanted to be close for them. So many last times to think of and it was easier to just let them all be together for it.

Sirius didn't have the best home life. Yes, he had a family but they became blood relatives when he met the Marauders at Hogwarts. That all at once feeling of meeting someone that you instantly felt connected to was quite addicting. That feeling of being able to choose not just your friends but your family too.
The idea that there might be other kids waiting for their own opportunity to choose a family isn't one that rests idly in the ever-active mind of Sirius Black. And if his newest chosen family happens to have a clever name, then all the better.
