Summary
“Ah, but before I go… you… were kind of right, ehe!” Venti wriggled in place, removing his hat to rummage inside it. “Forcing you to listen to my new song isn’t the only reason why I’m here~”
Before Xiao could feel any kind of way about this admission, Venti reached out to him with his hand closed into a fist, prompting him to offer his own palm up, confused. He was not expecting Venti to drop a small, black pebble on his waiting hand.
“This is for you!”
Bringing it up to his face, Xiao tried to see what was so special about the pebble, but it looked no different from the rocks he found on his patrol route. Just a normal black pebble, albeit rather polished.
“What is this…?”
“A gift!” at Xiao’s blank look, Venti added, sheepish, “It reminded me of you! See, it’s like your hair!”Or: Xiao, and the journey from a place to a home.

Fubuki: Yukimura, I’m sorry, I can’t come help you practice today.
Yukimura grits his teeth. It’s the third time this week.
If Fubuki really doesn’t want to practice with him anymore he should just say it to his face and stop getting his hopes up.
His phone buzzes again.
Fubuki: I’ll be there tomorrow, promise.

Summary
That was the reason why he had decided not to talk with his friend about his own struggles. Midorikawa was going through a tough period as well, always practicing long after everyone had retired to their room, always pushing his limits. Hiroto had been trying to help him however he could. He sometimes stayed with him while he practiced, making sure he didn’t hurt himself in the process, reminding him he needed to rest, sometimes forcing him to go to sleep even when the younger didn’t want to. His friend hadn’t told him exactly what was going on in his head, as he still struggled with opening up about his feelings. But he wanted to help the younger nonetheless. And if that meant keeping his difficulties to himself, he would absolutely do it. Midorikawa didn’t need someone else’s burden as well, he already had a lot on his plate as it was. Hiroto could deal with his own problems alone.
OR
Hiroto and Ryuuji are trying to navigate their friendship after having made up months ago, but they still have a lot to learn.
