Summary
Regulus Black had been raised on dark magic, cut his teeth on cursed objects and learnt to read from books that taught him how to kill. But with Sirius at his side, he still had a chance.
Then Sirius had turned eleven and left for Hogwarts.
Without the light, Regulus had free-fallen into an abyss he never tried to climb out of, staring up at the stars that were suddenly a whole lot further away. He had looked into the shadows, knowing all the ugly secrets it was hiding, and willingly flung himself into its welcoming hands.
