Six months later, Fox and Echo are reluctantly paired on a scouting mission, where they encounter a strange object emitting mysterious energy readings. When it activates, both are caught in its field and knocked unconscious.

Summary
Commander Fox was created for one purpose: to fight for The Republic. He was NOT created to be a glorified senator babysitter and Chancellor Palpatine’s errand boy. So, if he’s a bit surly to the people around him, he feels like it’s justified by the situation he finds himself in. On the upside, being generally unapproachable has the added benefit of keeping people at arm's length, except for a certain little blue senator who just can’t seem to take the hint.
