Summary

She promptly decides that anyone bored enough to do a technical review of their own free will should be found proper employment for their own good.
Her correspondent has been missing the opportunity to tinker with machinery. It gives him something to do between hunting down rebels.

Summary

Nothing is wrong in Commander Fox's life. He's a good soldier, loyal to the Empire since the execution of Order 66. After all, good soldiers follow orders, and the Commander of the Coruscant Guard has always supposedly been the dictionary definition of the ideal clone trooper.
Everything is wrong in Barriss Offee's life. She's on death row, her family is dead, the Republic is gone, and the Emperor seems hellbent on convincing her to fall. Her only hope now is to find her former Master and escape.
(Or, Fox and Barriss take the long way round escaping the Empire.)

Summary
Her daughter is five years old when Ursa realises what she and Ozai have been doing to their children. By each choosing one to bestow with their approval, they’re pitting them against one another. Perhaps Ozai is doing it on purpose, but Ursa isn’t. She resolves to heal the damage she has done.
In which Ursa tries to be a better parent to Azula, and it doesn’t change very much. And then, quite abruptly, it changes everything.

Summary
When Azula is nine, she becomes an only child. She hears the Fire Lord call for Zuko's life, and in the morning, her mother and brother are gone. Azula may be young, but she isn't naive. She knows what happened to them.
Which makes it all the more surprising when Azula tracks the Avatar down and fights his group of peasant friends, only to find herself staring into an eerily familiar face.

“Oh, I volunteered for this,” Fox told him.
“Why the kark would you do that?”
“Language,” Fox admonished. “Well, I was just living my normal boring life and I thought to myself, ‘I don’t get called an ugly piece of banthashit often enough.’ So I decided to adopt you.”
Boba snorted. “You’re a psychopath,” he told Fox.
“I’ve been called worse,” Fox replied breezily.
Boba doesn’t find a new family and Fox doesn’t become anybody’s dad; an adoption story.
