Summary
Barriss Offee is the kind of girl that Fox expects to find dead.
It's nothing personal. Nothing insulting, even, many of the best people that Fox knows are people that he often expects to find dead. Thorn, for one. Senator Organa, for another. It is simply a fact of life, as undeniable and true as any other — Coruscant orbits a singular star, the Senate is corrupt, and Barriss Offee is the kind of girl that tends to turn up as a corpse before reaching old age.
Coruscant has an ugly habit of chewing up and spitting out idealists. And Commander Offee is nothing if not idealistic.

Summary
“Commander Fox,” whoever it was said again, and Fox snapped his head around, instead of letting himself remember all again that Thorn was dead, that's why Fox had been in the Senate that morning instead.
He almost laughed when he found Anakin Skywalker staring straight back at him, head tilted to the side with a frown, and his gloved hand firm on Fox's wrist.
Or: Fox and Anakin realize Fox knows more than he remembers, and go on a reverse murder mystery where they try and figure out who they need to kill. Meanwhile, Marshal Commander Neyo gets pulled in to figure out why they're missing, due to the bad luck of simply being on the planet. He figures out something is very wrong on Coruscant while Anakin and Fox race to finish their mission.

This is a polite reminder to all guardsmen that patrol schedules for the Senate vote ratifying dictatorships are posted in the breakroom. I am also issuing a warning to linear time that days should follow sequentially and are not intended to repeat. Please cease repeating. I am getting a headache.
Additionally, I'd like to remind all guardsmen that it is illegal to harbor invisible women in the Senate. If you see a ghost claiming to be Leia Organa, please remove her from the premises. She will be making a scene.

Summary
There's an untold story. One where Fox's chip gets knocked about, rattled and shaken one too many times. Broken. Not degraded, just broken. He never does find out how Organa got him out, only that it happened, and then the aftermath. Then Rex shows up at his door, ragged, beardy, and with a chip on his shoulder.
And there's Rex. Tasked with going deep into the hornets nest for one clone. A high level asset, apparently. But really just some guy. Waiting to be pulled out, probably going out of his mind with boredom, and it's not like Rex can say no. Not with everything that's happened.
