Summary
The shift from late autumn to early winter signaled a shift in demeanor in all those who lived in the various low-income districts of Philly, it seemed. Holidays incoming, Christmas bonuses inbound, if you were lucky. Even if they weren't, the sudden chill in the air and the near certainty of snow on the horizon as November crept in gave everyone the impression that, on top of whatever holiday stuff they might already have planned, it was time to treat themselves.
In short, it was the shopping season.

The movie was some action flick; it was gonna be a good time, definitely, probably. Just a dude, out on his own, here to see some crazy explosions for the holiday season. The perfect kinda chill December evening Pico was out to have on this very day! Nothing would go wrong. It was just that much of a nice day… well, night.
At least that's what Pico thought.
All it took was one voice to shatter that precious reality.
That voice… a chirpy, sweet melodic voice. A voice that Pico Did Not Like.
"I can't wait for you to watch this movie, babe! The special effects in Sharknado 7 are totally killer."
Pico is just trying to see a feel good Christmas movie for the holidays, but accidentally runs into his ex and his girlfriend. He does NOT want to be there, the last thing he wants to do his crash their date and be forced to witness their corniness (the 'C' being interchangeable with 'H'), but ends up being forced to interact with them anyway. This is how it goes.

She's got a young face; round cheeks, long eyelashes and the like. Objectively "attractive". Despite the demon horns, tail, and wings, all he really needs to confirm the identity of this woman is her red dress.
He finds himself frowning on instinct. Brow scrunching and everything.
"Oh." The word just sort of falls out of his mouth distastefully. "It's you."
Pico runs in his ex's new girlfriend, Girlfriend, while shopping.

Summary
Alastor and Vincent, having known each other for a while, and having been... doing this... strange, homoerotic little dance, for a while... get on each other's nerves all the time. This is often intentional, on both of their parts, but especially Alastor's- he loves pissing Vincent off for a lot of reasons, some of them more explicit than others.
After he gives some miscellaneous insult that cuts a little too deep to remain fun, Vincent, for once in his life, gets too upset to play the game. He gets up and intends to leave, but Alastor, embarrassingly, really doesn't want him to. He admits this in the only way that he knows how. This has interesting consequences.

Alastor’s eyebrows furrow, just for a second. “Do you want me to?”
“No!” Vox practically shouts, flailing his hands in front of himself, “Fuck, no, forget this. Don’t remember anything.”
“Okay,” Alastor says simply.
Vox blinks at him. He could… There are things he knows he’ll never hear out of Alastor’s mouth. Simple endearments, reassurances… Things no one has ever said to him.
Things Alastor would never say to him. Not of his own free will. It scares him to recognize what he’d give to hear them.
It’s pathetic, he knows, to use hypnosis to be told that he’s something worth cherishing. To have to use it, because he knows he’ll never hear it otherwise, and he can’t fucking stand it.
To want it all bad enough to do it anyway.

Pretty pretty pretty, goes Vox’s signal as she watches Alastor get ready. HOLY FUCK!!! it says when Alastor shrugs off her blouse, reaching for her nightgown. Mine, it says when Zestial holds his hand out for Alastor to shake; Adorable, it says when Alastor permits Vox to pet her ears; I wanna stay like this forever, it says when they’re snuggling in bed.
Alastor doesn’t tell Vox, of course. That would ruin the fun.
