It was like a vault within a vault. The corner carved out for medical experiments like yourself was lonely and cold, just as the rest of the vault felt to someone like you.
The vault you were in was dedicated to uplifting and leading a charge toward finding a genetic sequence—one that would allow man to reclaim the earth in the wake of the devastation.
Until the year 2273, no one has survived the genetic testing and altercations—you were the first. You were isolated and kept away from the rest of the vault due to fears that you would lose your mind in a blind rage.
It was 2296 when another had shown promise. This other soul was an infant, a baby, one that would be subjected to the same tests you were.
Until the raiders came. Until the vault was broken into and there were only two survivors. You find yourself saddled with the task of keeping both you and the infant alive.

Summary
