Summary
Ranpo and Poe had already had their battle 4 years ago, when Ranpo gets an invitation to go to America for a battle of intelligence competition. Little does he know fate will bring Ranpo and Poe together again, and this time, things are different. Ranpo will not let the interesting man out of his grasp again.
Poe is conflicted when he has to work with his nemesis, but yet, he is not entirely upset.
In the midst of chaos that is American crime solving, Ranpo and Poe grow close, too close maybe. And when things take a turn the duo never thought possible, they decide to keep quite, and enjoy kt before it erupts in their faces.
But alas, it does anyway.Or: Ranpo and Poe reunite earlier in the story, but their suppressed admiration for one another become more than they thought possible, and get married while in America. But Ranpo hides this from his coworkers, because he knows two certain people will stick their nose when they don't belong, but they end up finding out later.

"Does it still hurt?" They asked, flying down to Pitaya Dragon's head level. They landed on their muzzle.
Pitaya Dragon stared at them with slit pupils before looking away and letting out a grunt.
"Every time you move?"
The dragon nodded.
"And they did this to you." They growled and landed, their back against the ground. "They hurt you like this and you—you couldn't fight them off. You weren't able to. And this is the result? This…suffering is the end of it?" They scoffed, suddenly soundly amused. "I can call other dragons. We could find whoever did this to any dragon, and we can level them down to the ground. Those who hurt what I—" They stopped and looked away. "Whatever. It is your fault that you are like this anyway."
As Pitaya Dragon just stared at them, Ananas Dragon sighed and crossed their arms.
"Don't look at me like I am wrong. I know I am." They growled out. "You—Pitaya Dragon cookie, you are confusing."

Edgar stiffened. He shook his head and hands back and forth quickly as he yelped, “I could never impose on you like that, Ranpo-kun! I know you’re far too busy solving cases, not to mention it’ll require traveling back to America with me so–”
“You don’t know if I’m too busy until you ask me.” Ranpo cut him off.
Edgar blinked at him. He watched Ranpo’s bottom lip poke out ever so slightly in a pout. So. Stinking. Adorable. It kind of felt like he was dreaming. If that was the case he’d prefer not to wake up.
Ranpo put his hands on his hips and tapped his foot. His tone was laced with his impatience when he asked, “Well?”
“Ah. Um. Would you… that is to say… maybe be interested… in uhh…” Edgar’s words trailed off and he cleared his throat. This kind of thing was more difficult than any case he’d worked on, harsher than a bout of writer’s block before a strict deadline.
Ranpo cupped a hand over his ear and shouted, “Speak up, Poe-kun!”
“Dating me!” Edgar gasped. He quickly added, “I mean! Pretending to! B-briefly!”
