Summary
Suddenly Theo breaks from his pattern and runs towards the front door screeching with excitement.
"Where's he off to now?" Hen asks.
The knot in Buck's chest loosens. "He knows the sound of Eddie's keys."
"Teddy Teddy Teddy!!" Theo chants jumping up and down as the door unlocks.
"Little big man!" Eddie says as he steps in, immediately dropping the groceries so he can pick Theo up with a mighty raaah! "What have you been up to?"
He settles Theo on his hip as he kicks off his shoes, then leans down to pick up all three grocery bags with his remaining free hand. (Buck does not stare at the way his bicep strains under the soft white fabric of his Henley.)
"I saved a picken!!" Theo announces brightly.
Eddie raises a brow at Buck and Hen as he deposites the grocery bags on the counter.
"Don't ask," Buck grumbles.
"Please ask," Hen grins.
"I have it on video!" Chris calls through the open patio door.

Summary
“You shouldn’t be here, either. He’s an asshole, he’s not even—”
“Why do you care?" Buck interrupts him, raising his tone, “It’s not like I’m gonna marry him!”
“I sure hope not!” Eddie replies loudly, offended, then, thinks to himself, you’re gonna marry me.
(Or, Buck decides to date again. Unsurprisingly, Eddie crashes out and sort of steals someone’s identity in the process. It goes better than expected… Truly.)

Summary
“We will try to do better,” Buck says, even though he barely believes the words.
“Yeah,” Eddie agrees. “Like I said, it won’t happen again.”
“It won’t,” Chimney nods. “Because I’m sending you both on a wellness retreat.”
Or; Buck and Eddie aren’t getting along after Eddie returns from El Paso. Chimney has the clever idea to send them on a LAFD wellness retreat for firefighters that are having problems in their partnerships.
So why when Buck and Eddie arrive are all their fellow firefighters in relationships?

Summary
Eddie huffs, his throat uncharacteristically dry as he rasps, "My parents called. They booked a flight. Wanted to come see Chris for Thanksgiving, and they figured I wouldn't have plans since they're coming three days early. Tonight." Then, he turns his gaze downward, voice dropping. "I uh— I told them we were having dinner here and they kind of… invited themselves."
Buck blinks, looking awfully like someone in the midst of being choked, his tongue sitting dumbly in his gaping mouth.
"And uh— your crisis?" Eddie prompts gently, shaking Buck slightly out of his stupor.
Buck gulps, the panic in his eyes morphing to thinly-veiled horror. "My parents," he says, and Eddie's stomach free falls, a swirl of dark dread clawing its way up his gut. "They just called to tell me they're coming to dinner. Tonight."
Or; What do you do when your parents, your best friend's parents, and the social worker in charge of your best friend's foster kid's case all show up at your door on the same day? Eddie's about to figure out, and fast.
