Pete stuffs some more noodles into his mouth and nods, smiling brightly, as if he’s calling him out on his bullshit.
Vegas takes a deep breath, storms out of the room and slams the door shut behind him. Let the idiot choke on his stupidly spicy food!
Who is he to insinuate that Vegas won’t really kill him? How dares he?! Vegas is… Vegas! The heir of the minor family!
And he will not be defeated by some silly little bodyguard with more sass than self-preservation instinct.

In which Vegas desperately tries to convince himself and everyone around that yes, he is still torturing Pete, and no, he is definitely NOT falling for Pete, and YES, he's still the fearsome Vegas, he just happens to be stuck in this stupid safe house with his stupid high-maintenance prisoner.
Maybe Pete isn't really the one getting tortured here.
