Summary
Valentino has been working with Vox for almost ten years. He's gotten to know him pretty well and knows what he wants, even when he doesn't say it. Meanwhile, Vox contrives a nostalgic roleplay session for himself and Val. Things get extremely messy.
I chose not to use the noncon warning because this can be read as CNC and I didn't want to improperly label it. I honestly don't even know what it is, you get to decide if it's consensual or if they're just coping. There's also a pretty evident power imbalance between them.

“Oh, don’t be daft. You know, guilt. Doing something wrong and feeling bad about it after?”
Vox stared at Velvette blankly.
“Oh, my God. Oh my fucking God,” Velvette groaned, “You’re seriously telling me you’ve never felt guilt? Ever? How is that even possible?”
After Vox's failed takeover of Heaven, he should be angry, but mostly, he just wants Val to talk to him again. Also, what the hell is this feeling in his chest and how can he make it stop?

Vox causes a Tower-wide blackout because he's too stubborn to admit that he needs sleep. Val wants to make him spend some time on healthy R&R but realizes that his pheromone saliva doesn’t work on the big bad CEO of VoxTek and it gets him unjustifiably excited.

Summary
Someone lands a lucky blow on Vox during a night out -- which is bad, because now Velvette has to do both their jobs and Val's a vengeful mama bear when given half the chance, but it's also nice because Vox without his memories is adorable. And vulnerable. Both of which are good things. Everyone's having a weird time. But they're the god-damn Vees, and they don't let anything that touches them leave a mark.

Summary
Vox doesn’t make mistakes. When the woman who will become Velvette catches him making out with Valentino after a movie-night group hang, which means she can leverage this information in her dealings with Voxtech, that's simply an unexpected opportunity. It’s definitely not a mistake. Vox doesn’t make those.
