Summary
Lumine chuckles, lowly and smooth. Then she saunters closer to him and presses the hilt of her blade into his hand, signaling him to take it. His hold is shaky at best, nothing like the confidence she exudes with every swipe of this same weapon.
“I taught you some things, didn’t I?” Lumine says with a slight tilt of her head.
She did, but he’s still new to it all. Still, remembering what she’s taught him, Kabukimono adjusts his grip and stance, and based on Lumine’s expression, it’s not too bad. Her approval is all he ever wants, and he preens under it.
“I’ll work on sword skills a little more with you,” she murmurs, and encases his hand holding the sword with her own. Gently takes the sword back, and then it disappears at her will.
She'll have to pay for it all.

He stops in his track and looks back at her, and his eyes are burning with an insistence she doesn’t understand. An ire that could only be cultivated through years and years of hatred, sharpened and whetted over and over again. When he speaks, his scorn is palpable despite the chill of the night, words pointed like a knife. "I’ll suffer the misery gladly," he says, "if I can see you suffer that same misery alongside me."

his edacious bloodlust barely sated, and he thrusts the blade into the headboard. the wood splintering to accommodate the gesture. it sticks there, idle, and readily available until he decides that it has a use to him again. There is a yelp of surprise near him, and his visage tapers towards the source of the insubstantial little noise.the girl in his care was a hindrance, the severity of her disruption and inconvenience cogent on his mood. she seemed afraid... his brow rose at her. was it him that had distressed her? or was it the dagger he was holding a moment prior? It is not like he stabbed her with it. not this time anyway.

The morning begins with her untangling herself from Scaramouche’s body, wiggling out of his hold with a wince, prying his hand from her waist, finger by finger.
And like a clock running on "Lumine" time, as soon as she yawns and stretches her arms over her head, he cracks open his eyes, peeking at her from under his lashes. The sunlight falls over him in slivered rays that cut through the seams of the curtains, clawing over his face. His expression is undecipherable, murky river waters; on the edge of discontent, she decides, from being disturbed out of his dreams.
"You woke up late," Scaramouche says lazily. "It’s already noon."
