“Starlight.” He responds as if he’s had that tucked away for a while - like he’s thought about her in various settings. Tilting her head slightly she sees him come into view - watches as his eyes widen with awe like he wasn’t actually sure she was under all these blankets.

Peter shakes his head. “I don’t want it back. Honestly, it’s…it was always meant for you.”
MJ nods, something in her deflating. “Okay.”
“We can meet for coffee though,” Peter adds quietly. “You don’t…you don’t need to have something to give me.”
“Right.”
Peter lets out a breath and smiles at her. “See you for coffee?” he asks.
MJ smiles back at him, nodding her head as her throat tightens. “See you for coffee.”

He doesn’t have time for Tony’s paranoia. Not now.

“You’re overthinking it and when you do, you fuck it up,” Ned told him, Peter wincing at that despite how true it is. “Just be yourself.”
“You act as if I didn’t fuck it up last time,” he tells Ned, thinking of how much he had messed it up with MJ the first time.
Ned shrugs.
