Summary
Clark crossed one leg over the other. “And what tells you you’re no longer there?”
Robby blinked.
“I just said.”
“No,” Clark said mildly. “You said you’re eating, sleeping, functioning, and in love. Those are all real things. They are also not, in and of themselves, evidence that the underlying structure is sound.”
The room went a little still.
Robby gave a short laugh.
“Well, that’s bleak.”

Summary
Robby can’t help smiling, letting Jack take hold of him, pull his scarf down, freeing him to be tugged down into a kiss.
It’s the warmest Robby’s felt in what’s only been hours, but feels like years.
“You’re safe,” Jack mumbles against his lips, then parts from him. His eyes are bright, his cheeks already flushing pink in the cold. He smells like warmth, mint, home. Another hot rush runs through Robby, and he grins, dropping his head down until his forehead collides with Jack’s, inhaling deep, unable to stop himself.

Summary
"I can help guide you down. In whichever capacity you’ll have me. It’s your call.” Jack’s voice was clinical, the way he explained treatment plans to patients. Our best option here is Plan A which offers a 65% chance of full recovery, though complications have been reported; or we can go with Plan B, a safer approach but requires commitment.
“You know I’m good for it either way.”
And Robby knew, only too well. Jack wouldn’t tell him to bend over and take it, wouldn’t call him a whore and leave him limping for days. He had seen Jack take submissives down with his Voice alone in dire cases, efficient and clean the way he does an intubation, but not without care.
Jack always understands. And that was the problem.
Or, Robby dropped after PittFest. Jack found him on the roof.

Summary
After the trauma bay confrontation that stops Robby from disappearing into a passively suicidal spiral, he starts therapy and tries, reluctantly, to stay alive on purpose. Then Baby Jane Doe enters his orbit and detonates something old and wounded in him. When he decides to pursue kinship fostering, Jack is horrified, convinced Robby has interpreted “get help” in the most dangerously Robby way possible. But once the process starts, Jack cannot watch him do it alone. What begins as triage becomes cohabitation, then partnership, then family.
