Summary
He’s 14 years old. Nothing ever really feels good. It just feels like enough to survive. His home, his work, his hunger, his anger, his father. Just surviving.
But for some reason, one he can’t quite put his finger on, as he climbs the ladder rung by rung, satchel hanging off his back filled with squished berries he can’t possibly eat, and blood now soaking down to his collar, he feels good. He feels better than good. He feels alive.
Stede has already cleared the windowsill just before Ed makes it to the top of the ladder. Just as he readies himself to hoist in through the small opening, a hand juts out followed by Stede’s smiling face. The same smile he gave him in the clearing when Ed told him it was his birthday.
“Here, take my hand. That last step is tricky.”This time, Ed smiles back and the warmth that was isolated to his belly suddenly spreads throughout his entire body.
Or - Ed and Stede meet as teenagers and then life pulls them apart. They encounter each other again unexpectedly on the high seas.

Summary
"I mean, friends kiss, right? Max and El do it all the time." Mike said, his gaze bouncing across Will's features frantically as if he was looking for his next line somewhere between the freckles that lay on the bridge of Will's nose. Will tried to ignore just how often Mike's eyes fell down onto Will's spit-slicked lips.
Will wasn't sure if they were going to overlook the fact that Max and El have actually been dating for almost a year now. But Mike didn't mention it, so neither did Will. Instead, Will inched his face a little closer, so close that their noses brushed and he could practically feel the heat radiating off of Mike's flushed cheeks.
"Yeah, friends kiss," Will said simply.
"Yeah?" Mike asked.
"Yeah," Will confirmed. Mike nodded, almost dumbly. His eyes stayed steady on Will's lips now.
"Okay." Mike shuddered.
"Okay," Will whispered.They kissed again.
Logline: While home alone in Mike's bedroom, Will and Mike realize just how much they've been hiding from each other and themselves. Who knew their deepest secrets were hidden behind their lips and beneath their clothes?

Summary
Dustin and Lucas were on night watch so it’s just him and Mike in the room. Having fallen asleep early, both tired from the supply run they were on earlier today, Will passed out as soon as his head hit the pillow only to be woken up a couple of hours later to pressure on his ass.
It took a moment to orientate himself. Used to waking up to noise and vibration but not touch. He was pressed up tight to the wall like usual, which usually gave him inches of space between himself and Mike. But not right now.
Because Mike had scootched across the bed and was spooning Will from behind. His bare chest pressed alongside Wills exposed back, one arm slung over his waist as he mumbled into the back of his head.
Will’s about to ask Mike what was going on when he felt it. The consistent thrusting of Mike’s hips against the swell of his bum. His words die in his mouth as he registered that Mike was asleep. Soft moans spilled from his lips and the hard pressure of his dick stuttered against Will.

Summary
Mike’s been standing outside of Will’s building for ten minutes. He hasn’t seen him in two years.
It’s not nerves keeping him planted here. It’s not. But there is a small recalibration happening. Will’s letter has round script that reads 118 W 3rd St. Apt 56. The silver plaque on the facade of the building bears the same address, but this building doesn’t look right, doesn’t look quite like the place Will Byers should live. It’s tall, brick, with a hundred windows. Mike is three states removed from Indiana with a duffel bag stuffed with clothes and a secret he’s been harboring for six months.
Mike visits Will for the first time in two years. Things are different now.
