“There’s so many issues with that. Beginning with you calling our possible future project kid an ‘it’ and ending with the big mystery of how we’re going to get someone to give us their child ‘for a bit’.”
“Luckily,” Oscar sighed heavily and pulled Lando in by his wrist, tucking him firmly between the mattress and his chest. “We are pretty close to these t’o guys that have a daughter and would definitely be glad to have a couple days off during the t’o week break coming up.”

Summary
Upon hearing about Oscar’s contract renewal, the reality of their future together starts to sink in. Realizing he’s going to be alongside him for quite some time, Lando decides to now make it his mission to become even closer to the young Australian. Not just as a teammate, but as a friend. The idea seems simple enough, after all, he’s never had trouble becoming friends with his teammates in the past.
Oscar isn’t the same wide-eyed rookie who stepped into his life months ago. He’s more confident, more bold and getting increasingly more comfortable around Lando. But the older boy finds himself drawn to Oscar in ways he can’t quite understand, having to wrestle with certain thoughts whenever Oscar so much as smiles in his direction. The line between friendship and something deeper is getting harder to discern when Lando realizes his affection for Oscar might be evolving into something he never anticipated.

However, everything changes when someone catches a blurry, but very convincing photo, of the two of them kissing. As the media storm explodes, Oscar worries their careers will never be the same. It all may be too much for Oscar, who can’t figure out how to balance a relationship with Lando and also keep his career. But together, they prove that love deserves a podium finish.
