“You’re breathtaking,” the words escaped him before he could even think about it.
A hand slipped away from his. For a split second, it felt empty. But the second after, the missing hand was on his face. His sweaty, burning blue face. He could go with that.
His heart was probably beating so loud the whole forest could hear him. A thumb brushed his bottom lip. Now, the whole world could probably hear his heartbeat.
And then he couldn't breathe anymore. Those lips he dreamed of for so long were pressed against his.
