    Summary

When the War for the Dawn is lost, Jon Snow and Sansa Stark are given a chance to fix things by traveling back to when Targaryen power began to wane - the Dance of Dragons. While trying to remember their history, they find themselves embroiled in the battles of a court and wars of a Westeros that isn't all that different from their own.

Will their combined strength be enough to set Westeros on a different, and better, path?

    - Babysitting hardly ever involves an actual baby
    - You are not supposed to sit on the “baby”
    - No, not even if that would be tactically expedient

Three times SecUnit plays babysitter (plus one time that’s not what happens).

If you give a paladin some wool roving, he'll spin it into yarn.
And then he'll give it back to Stephen, because what else was he supposed to do with it?

Unfortunately, things only escalate from there.

Takes place before the epilogue of Paladin's Hope.

    Summary

"In the country (a denomination which, as matters are commonly conducted, he can by no means allow to the neighbourhood of London) the contagion of vice and folly, it may be presumed, is not so epidemical. In short, he is persuaded, that women of worth and sense are to be found every where, but most frequently in the calm of retreat, and amidst the coolness of recollection."

    - Preface, Sermons to Young Women, by James Fordyce (1809)

Elizabeth's rejection of Mr. Collins's proposal created a veritable fracas within the Bennet household's female contingent. In Mary's estimation, it was both foolish and tactless, the way they all carried on. As expected, Lydia found a great deal of unabashed amusement in the circumstance while, in her vexation at Lizzie’s conduct, their mother once again descended into near-hysterics.

What Mary had not anticipated intruding upon her amidst this strange semblance of domestic peace to which she'd grown so accustomed was that she'd have any feelings about the matter at all.
