    He’d sensed it from the start. All the fights, the failed missions, the sharp looks and subtle threats in front of Bruce. The countless times Damian had challenged him, physically or verbally, always with that annoying tone of superiority that never failed to piss Tim off. Damian had become the perfect embodiment of what it meant to be an alpha, in the most exasperating way. He made it all look easy — just as easy as it was to hate him.
