While it raged, the heavens opened up overhead, and water returned to water, waves rising to meet pouring rain. It was a great foaming battle waged on the shores.
Pale green eyes, still glazed in the fever’s grip, slid open. Long lashes fluttered against a damp cheek, and the girl murmured softly. Esme leaned closer to hear -
