Summary
Steve continued to speak erratically. ‘Tony wants him dead and I couldn’t let him just kill my friend! Banner has promised that his software is now safe but Tony will only have him here if he sees you, Dr Isle. Hydra scrambled his mind so many times, if you can help him get any of his memories back…’
Dr Maggie Isle was hand picked by Nicholas Fury to be the Head of Psychiatric Medicine at the Shield Institute because her loyalty is to her patients. And now, for better or worse, she is loyal to Bucky.
Or
Dr Maggie Isle doesn't look at Bucky with pity but with kindness. They strike up an unlikely friendship but soon the past rears its ugly head, entwining their fates and making the future look murky. Enemies to friends, friends to lovers.

Bookmarker's Notes
This is one of the few things I've read (fic or book) that made me tear up at multiple points, gasp aloud, and ended with me grinning until I flapped my hands to disperse tears like a stereotypical beauty queen.
Read it! You won't regret it.

In which Dean is forced to deal with his trauma and come to a reckoning with himself. Also, Cas is there.

*** *** ***
"No one hates you as much as you do," Crowley told him once. That's Dean's whole M.O. right there. His two fundamental truths are that it is his job to save everyone, and that no matter how many people he saves it will never change the fact that he is 90% crap.
Dean knows who he is. Yeah, he's done some good for the world, okay, he gets that. But deep down? The person he is inside is still worthless. Dean will never be good enough, never be any kind of role model. He's never going to shake that, so if that's what this whole seven trials angelic bullshit is about, then he and Cas might as well hold hands and drive off the cliff now.

Wow! Just wow! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m almost speechless. This may be the best canon adjacent fic I’ve ever read. Respectfully explores trauma without being overly graphic, romanticizing/dismissing the trauma, or sugarcoating the intensity. Well done. Wow. -

Summary
In 2014, Dean Winchester led a raid on the asylum in Detroit where a Sam-wearing-Lucifer was waiting for him. Everyone knows what happened next: the Chitaquan soldiers who accompanied Dean died horribly at the hands of Lucifer’s minions while Lucifer murdered Dean in the garden below and warned the Dean from days past that no matter what he tried, he would always end up there. There were no survivors.
Or were there? This story picks up where “The End” leaves off, from Castiel’s perspective from inside the asylum, a twist of fate, and conditional divine intervention no one saw coming. It details what happens after Lucifer dies, Dean lives, and the world doesn’t actually stop turning. A canon-compliant “fix-it” fic for the Endverse and a Dean and Cas who deserved better.
Or: "The End" was not the End. This is the story of what came after.
