Just a maybe, of course, because his judgments are almost always flawless, and this one shouldn't be any different. But admittedly, the constant effort to keep a hand overtop a profusely bleeding puncture wound, plus cleaning up blood in-between his brother's concerned glances...it's a hassle. All he's wanted for the last thirty minutes is to pass out.
But he needs to stay strong. This team can't take any more worrying. "OR: Donnie sustains a definitely-not-life-threatening injury, and out of worry for his brothers, keeps it hidden. Little does he know, such selflessness can have...unwanted and very damaging consequences.

If you don’t fit into social norms, you have to tell everyone or else they’ll assume you’re ‘normal’. I’ve been waiting for the right moment for so long… but I just realised that there is no ‘right moment’. That it’s scary no matter when you say it, because you never know how people will react.

Donnie’s head pounded and his limbs felt like wet paper as his senses started to return. Even with fuzzy vision, he could make out a horribly familiar lavish office. Through the large, floor-to-ceiling window the rising sun shined directly in his eyes. His ringing ears made it hard to distinguish sounds, but he recognized the honeyed, singsong voice emanating from the lavender blob in front of him anyway.
“Good morning, turtley-boos! I have a business proposition for you.”

Summary
It’s been common knowledge, ever since they were tots, that Donnie was the best swimmer.
The discovery had made a five year old Leo pout for a while, but it was true. There was no shell to get in the way of him diving underwater, darting like a swift arrow under the currents.
And, like it was common knowledge that Donnie was the strongest swimmer, it was made aware very early on that Mikey was the weakest.
His brothers took to water easily. They swam as they were born to do, effortless even at such a young age. Mikey, seeing his brothers having fun, had tried to do the same with a giggle and a splash.
It didn’t end well.~
After days of heavy rain, the lair floods with Donnie and Mikey still inside. Born a soft shell, Donnie can easily survive such conditions. Mikey, on the other hand, cannot.
TLDR: the lair floods with Mikey and Donnie still inside, and Donnie is the only one that can swim.
