Summary
After being thrown out of the abyss in Fontaine, Childe disappears. When he doesn’t reappear in the following weeks, the traveler is forced to pay a visit to the man nobody knows and deliver some unfortunate news to the wanderer. Even more unfortunate as the traveler was one of the few people who knew of the true relationship between the two ex-harbingers and what had come from it.
Now, fifteen years later, after helping a teenage girl earn her vision in a fight with her father’s suitor, Childe’s own vision starts acting up. Giving the traveler a glimpse of where he disappeared to, and a glimmer of hope that perhaps he can still be saved. So when her wanderer friend sets off for the desert and his kids are left with a trusted friend she sets off, determined to bring her old friend home and maybe, just maybe, allow him to finally meet the family he never got the chance to know.
But can the young girls fend off the looming danger threatening to tear the family apart without the traveler's help? Or will their differences destroy them before the outside threats even get a chance?

Summary
Confined within the same prison, under fluorescent lights and the watching eyes of their captors, Ajax and Scaramouche met once as children. Despite their circumstances, they gravitated toward each other only for tragedy to bring them apart.
One holds no memory of what they’d gone through while the other carries it with them, through life and death.
Now at the end of civilization as they know it, enemies lurk in every corner, both human and not. Trust is fickle and mistakes are deadly.
Under impossible conditions, Ajax and Scaramouche are the center of a plot a century older than them.

Revolution is nigh. After a century of increasing tension and hidden secrets, the time to strike has been deemed and the heroes of this story have been long predetermined. Whether by the conquering of an unknown race or the rebellion of those wronged, the world is going to change and Ajax and Scaramouche have the key role in this game.
