By the time his last class rolls around, Eddie is on the verge of tears. He fucked up. He never should’ve bothered with college, this clearly isn’t the right path for him. He’s rounding the corner, ready to get this last class over with and then call it a day when it’s like a wall materializes in front of him. He smacks into it, stumbling and nearly falling until two callused hands grip his upper arms, steadying him.
“W-whoa, sorry man. I did not see you there.”
Startled, Eddie glances up. He’s met with bright blue eyes, blinking at him sheepishly. Something in Eddie's face must show the close proximity he is to a breakdown because the look shifts to concern, and the man doesn't let go of him.
“Hey, you okay?”

“Do you know how many times I’ve had to do this?” Buck accuses, eyes wild. “Do you know how many times I’ve been broken up with today?”
“Tommy broke up with you?” Eddie frowns.
Buck cackles maniacally. “He did! Hundreds of times! And I thought I was supposed to stop it from happening! I changed everything. Over and over. And you,” he points, accusing. “You didn’t think to mention that you’re in love with me until the Last. Fucking. Time.”
Or, Buck gets stuck in a time loop. Eddie is very confused.

“Very well.” She gestures for them to follow her toward an open area near the bottom of a dais, the top of which is obscured by a red curtain. The ghost stops at the edge of the open area and bows in the direction of the curtain, a gesture far more respectful than the one she just gave the king.
“My Lord, these two would like to make a bet.” She turns back to the king and queen. “Tell our lord what you want to gain from this bet.”
“Information.” The king raises his head proudly and speaks directly to the curtain. “I want to know everything you know about his highness the crown prince of Xianle.”
OR Xie Lian's parents ghosts mysteriously wake from slumber and set out to find their son, eventually following the rumors all the way to Ghost City...
