Faruzan read it twice. She set it on her desk. She looked at her manuscript. She looked at the mechanism, which had, in a development she was choosing to interpret as coincidental rather than symbolic, defeated her again this morning on what she had believed was the final calibration step. She looked at the note again.
She spent two hours not thinking about it during which she accomplished nothing useful and knocked over one of the inkwells.
She was at the east gate at second bell.

Flins, though, stares at Illuga’s eyes and is mesmerized at the reflection of flickering flames on the blue, like lapping of the waves on the shore. “The heart chambers.”
“Young Master,” is punched out of him, and his breath is stolen from the lungs he doesn’t need as if spinning a yarn back on the clew.

The Lightkeepers of Nod-Krai remain one of the most enduring and least understood institutions in Teyvatian history.
This volume collects several papers and primary source materials presented at the third Annual Symposium on Nod-Kraian Cultural Heritage. Of particular interest is the ongoing scholarly debate surrounding "Ratnik Flins," whose historical existence remains hotly contented and whose relationship with the better-documented Starshyna Illuga Nikitovich continues to generate discussion in fields ranging from military history to folklore studies.We trust our readers will find much to consider.
