“No.” Satoru says, and stares at the DM from Suguru so hard his vision starts to blur.
“Gojo Satoru.” She snaps her fingers in front of his face, disturbing his hyper-locked in view of the phone screen, and he blinks, the world coming back into focus.
“Huh?” He says.
“Okay, I have known you since you were, what? Twelve? Thirteen?”
Satoru makes an iffy sort of hand gesture. It was somewhere around there, who knows really. He can’t remember all that.
“Okay, so I say this with the full weight of well over a decade of…” She pauses, thinking.
“Friendship.” He supplies, nodding.
She stares at him dead-eyed.
“Acquaintanceship?” He tries, failing to stop the pout.
“Proximity.” She decides firmly.

Copia huffs, using his shoulder to push his way into his quarters, cradling his right hand against his chest to keep from jostling it too much—it wasn’t a terrible injury, just something that’d happened at the tail end of their latest tour, someone had thrown something towards him from the crowd and when he’d caught it, he’d felt a slight pop in his wrist but hadn’t thought much of it as the adrenaline from performing had caused any and all pain to cease to exist in that moment.
It was after, as they were loading up onto the bus one last time to be taken to the airport so they could travel back to the Ministry that he’d notice the ache in his wrist, something barely there but persistent; he’d sort of ignored it then, which in hindsight, was probably why he was now without proper use of his right hand for the next few weeks.

Copia fixes a somewhat professional smile on his face, clasping both hands in front of him on the desk, “I am not of the bloodline, yes? He’s unhappy about that. I think I would be unhappy about it too, if I were him. I know you said this was what the church needs, but maybe perhaps—”

Copia is forced to hold his deceased half-brother's head during a photoshoot. (Yes, you know exactly what I'm referring to.) Of course, he's far from okay afterwards, but luckily, his ghouls are there for him, even for what comes after.
Edit: This work has changed a lot since I posted the first chapter. I feel like the tags paint a better picture of this fic than the above summary. Also, this fic now includes lots of brotherly love and angst, along with Copia's ghouls being supportive of their mess of a Cardinal.

Gojo Satoru was a man of many talents. He had a knack for turning beginners' luck into permanent skill and being the first to try and master anything new . He was far more intelligent than anyone really gave him credit for and no one could truly fathom the amount of strength he carried.
Nanami liked watching all these little things Gojo was good at but the laundry felt so purely human and simple and Gojo made it look like a divine task. The best part about Gojo doing laundry was when he used the clothing line.
More specifically, Nanami loved Sunday mornings when he would wake up late and look out the window of their bedroom and see Gojo hanging clothes on the line.
