The medium-sized wooden ship was rocking on the calm waves. Its sails moved lazily against the wind. A warm golden light shone from the deck as the kerosene lamps were lit. A seemingly safe, yet clear target for creatures that might target the ship for any number of reasons. Whether it's to simply drown him or to get an easy meal.
Something, almost like a shadow, passed beneath the water's surface, shimmering slightly under the light from the ship.
The water moved with a sloshing sound as the head emerged.Bright green eyes seemed to glow in the darkness as they stared at the ship.

He would never have thought that it was possible to be so thirsty while being surrounded by water on all sides.
However, his stubbornness did not allow him to regret his choice. Even if it resulted in him drifting at sea on a piece of wooden plank for many long days.In fact... he slowly started to lose hope that he would somehow somehow reach land or something.
