Bookmarker's Notes
Absurd as he knew it was, Adam always ended up trying to keep track of their kisses when they started. It wasn't a precise sort of study, because it could be hard to say what counted as one individual kiss. This first one was long and involved, but Adam tended to think of it as one kiss until one of them broke away.
Ronan pulled back and looked at Adam, he did that sometimes between kisses, like he just liked looking at Adam's face. Ronan started their second kiss like he'd looked at Adam and known Adam wanted something. His hands traced along the hem of Adam's shirt as his tongue traced along the seam of Adam's lips, and Adam never needed much incentive to accelerate things.

Summary
Adam designs an invention to help him with Cabeswater. He enlists Ronan's help to dream it into existence. This requires more proximity than their fragile romantic tension can handle.

Summary
“Are you listening to anything I’m saying, man? I fucking want to. I just want you to raw me, is all.”
Adam giggled, despite himself. It was a furiously unsexy sound, involuntary as a reflex.
Ronan, of course, bristled instantly. “What, are you afraid of knocking me up?"Bookmarked by Altiloquenta

Summary
It was on a dark stretch of road ten minutes later that Ronan said, “They wanted to kill me. Dad and Mor. They were going to.”
Ronan finds out about Mor and Niall's plan; Adam knows something about inherited violence.

Bookmarker's Notes
“I don’t know,” Adam admitted. “I think in some ways, I didn’t survive it.” It was the part of the story no one ever liked to hear: that something in Adam really had died in that trailer park. It made Blue and Gansey uncomfortable, he knew. They wanted the part where Adam triumphed, got out, found healing and love and all that. Adam wanted that for himself too, but he could never un-know the taste of his own blood in his mouth. And sometimes not saying that felt like lying.

Summary
If Adam were poetic, he and Ronan would be spinning planets, constantly drawn together by gravity and the sheer power of the universe, sometimes aligning so they would be both at the furthest points of their orbits at the same time with millions of miles of emptiness and dust between them, but sometimes aligning so they would be at the other edge of their orbits, hovering inches away from one another, the dust between ionised and pulsing with tension.
But he’s not. So they’re just assholes.
or, Adam and Ronan learn that love can be soft.

Bookmarker's Notes
They only talk like this here: the two of them, curled in one bed, the room so dark it could stretch out for miles, pieces of Ronan’s head on shelves and pinned to walls. Here, they talk without consequence. Persephone calls this time of the night the witching hour.
