Enter Vanitas's lab partner, Louis Noah Dominick, a transfer student with a mysterious past who seems to have no friends on campus. If Vanitas can befriend him by the end of finals week, he can bring Noé home to meet his parent and younger brother. But if he is unable to, Noé will spend another Christmas with the cruel and cold de Sade family. The stakes have never been higher for Vanitas, but as he learns more and more about his new lab partner, he draws closer to a secret that could very well shake his relationships to the core.
