Summary

The angel was not willing to risk taking Dean from his loved ones, should he ever fall in the line of duty. But soon Dean and Castiel find out that they are far more bonded than they knew and when an angel/human mated pair is murdered, the case hits a little too close to home.
As the shining stars of the Paranormal Homicide Division, it is up to Dean and Castiel to discover who is responsible and bring them to justice.

Wherein Dean makes a hefty living as a tattoo artist who owns the space next to Gabriel's cafe. Sam attends the local university. When Gabe's cousin comes to live with him while starting grad school at Sam's university, Dean thinks for sure that all his negative karma's coming to bite him in the ass because Cas clearly has a thing for Sam. No one would ever choose him over Sam. That's just logic.
