McGonagall hesitated, then said briskly. “It appears you have been dosed with an extremely rare potion; one designed to erode restraint, to force a compulsion for closeness and carnal activities with someone new every seven days.”
Hermione stared at her, dumbfounded, her stomach near dropping. “What do you mean by—carnal activities? And…every week?” Her blood ran cold and she pressed her hands to her temples, hardly able to comprehend it.
Carnal activities? What did that entail exactly? Kissing? Hugging? Shagging? Every week?
Slughorn cleared his throat. “Well, the potion actually refers to them as carnal delights th-“
“Horace!” McGonagall interrupted briskly.

It was okay to admit that Hermione made him a little nervous. She was as clever as they come, and bold as brass. Charlie admired her; women like her. If he had to define his type, it would be the kind of woman who rode dragons and lied to Dark Lords. Whatever was the opposite of 'meek and mild' made his head spin. But until Ron's wedding, he hadn't really seen her as a woman just yet. It had been years since they last been in the same room, and suddenly she walked into the tent in the backyard of the Burrow in a little black dress and Charlie was a sputtering mess.
She moved like music. Like river water over glittering stone. Like the sweetness of the first peach of summer off the tree. Her eyes flared in the darkness, brighter than a supernova. Charlie was drowning in her before the first brush of her leg against his as she put a knee up on the couch and straddled him. His hands trembled slightly as they landed on her hips, unconsciously pulling her forward into him. Her small hands came up to either side of his face and her fingers trailed over the short hair above his ears.
"Charlie," she whispered. "Please kiss me."
