Royal AU. Asriel is alive and is the 25 year old Crown Prince. Sans is 30 and the Captain of the Royal Guard. Papyrus is 19 and a new, inexperienced, minor Guard. I do have ideas for other characters, but this is a one-shot and they don't appear, so we will not mention them.
I was unironically listening to Lamento Boliviano and wanted to write a fic based on the lyrics. The English lyrics I added were loosely translated by me (I took small creative liberties).
