A chuckle rose up from Remmick’s throat, filling the silence of the night. It was light and almost childish at first, but his laughter quickly transformed into a hoarse cough when the boot that held him down started to put more pressure on his sternum, almost making it crack.
“How could I forget?” A vicious smile spread across his lips full of blood. “You tried to kill me.” His red eyes gleamed through the night. “I guess some things never change, huh?”

Summary
Things don't always run smoothly, in the early days after they leave Genna. Currently, the thing that isn't running smoothly is the lower half of Thia's body. Dek finds her dragging herself along a corridor of the ship and crosses his arms, staring silently down at her.
“Oh, hi! I'm just – don't mind me,” Thia says brightly. “This shouldn't last long. My legs just went out – can you believe it?”
“Yes,” Dek says flatly.
Or, Thia's having some reconnection problems after being torn in half and hastily put back together. Dek helps her out, and together they discover something neither of them expected. (Takes place after The Pack Survives.)

Andy needs to play this carefully. It would be rude not to ask, but she needs to ask like someone who wants to know the truth, not someone who knows the other person is lying.
“What do I do? I uh, I work in networking,” he says, drastically oversimplifying it, and it forces Andy to wonder what lie he's been feeding his family. “Connect people who need to be connected. Sort of self employed. I suppose I see a client's needs, and then see that those needs are met.” Frank, like he's just discovered something, gets a dangerous glint in his eye and playfully points his fork at Andy with a smile. “I guess in that way, our jobs are a lot alike, aren't they?”

Summary
Contrary to belief, the Endless did not know all. They were not the most powerful beings in the universe. They existed to serve the world they were born into by Time and Night. Time and Night, who in turn, only existed by a wave of the hand by the Creator - when the universe was born.
What was known was that Lucifer and Michael were fated to fight until the end of days - the war between the silver city and Hell constant and ruthless. However, it was not fought directly by them - but by their cohorts... demons for Lucifer and Nephilims for angels.
Nephilims were feral beings, no better than demons - only marked with grace and wings instead of blackness and horns. Creatures that were vicious and ravenous - feasting on the blood and essence of their enemies.
The Endless did not know everything, but even Dream knew that it was best to never meet a Nephilim without a muzzle... and better yet, it was best to not cross the considered leader of the Nephilim, the only female - Mikayla.
But as said before... the Endless... Dream did not know everything. He did know duty. He did not know her.
